New comic arc

well. the up and coming story Arc has bible references slashed left right and centre ..

wonder how this unfolds....

to be continued....

To play or not to play....

trailer looks epic

Update: Xmen Days of Future Past!

So the posters are out!

Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy as Professor X

I think the posters are a great insight of what to expect . As the film title suggests and visual also, there is an element of time travel and a slice of what is, was and will be.

Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender as Magneto

"One of the big revelations during the footage shown during the panel was the fact that Wolverine (and not Kitty Pryde) appears to be the time traveler sent back through time to change history so the Sentinels don't begin the extermination of earth's mutant population. That's no surprise considering that fact that Jackman is the heart at the center of the entire Fox universe of mutants." - source

Dammit i so should be at Comic Con ><"

missed out =.="

random film fact- did you know this will be the 7th time wolverine appeared in a movie?!?! incredible. Jackman owns the character XD

Xmen franchise eXtension

So there is talk of an X-Force film *source*

If this goes ahead, it will definitely make $$$$$$  and I will sure be there to watch it.

I cannot wait! X-Force was indeed on of my favourite arcs in the X-Men Universe, where Cyclops heads up a team of his own (Wolverine, X-23, Warpath, Domino, Archangel, Psylocke, Deadpool) to do missions the Xmen wouldn't....couldn't. Along the way you run into Cable, The Legacy Virus, super bad ass foes etc etc .

Darker . Demanding. Daring.

Iron Man 3: mass production

So you ask my thoughts on the matter?

I'm probably not the best person to ask, as I haven't seen the second one.

But lemme put it this way. What I look for and what I give IronMan 3

Cinematography- ★

Script - ★★★★ (witty, scored laugh out loud moments)

Plot - ★1/2  (predicatable.. so ..this fails in my books)

Visual Effects - ★★★★

Casting - ★★★★★ (believable roles and characters, although there was very little depth, ironic ...considering the lengthy movie)

Editing - ★★★ (smooth , seemless, nothing spectacular)

Sound - ★★★

In sum - ★★

Sorry folks, I'm not a fan of the Iron Man . But going off just the plot, there was nothing new, nothing mind bending in terms of twists and story layers. Found myself asking half way. ..wow not much has happened , this is boring, when will the climax come because there is no build up.

Dissappointed. Dunno why the cinema clapped afterwards >.>

p.s. Stan Lee could have got a better 2 seconds of screen time too =.-

on the side_

my unbiased dislike haha. Why I'm not a fan of either. Where is their superpower?!?!! :P

Death Battles!

wow i can't believe i only discovered these today!!

a little crude. but interesting logic fight mix.

YOOOOOOOOSSSSHHHH

Wolverine Update

Movie Poster is OUT!!
Japanese theme of course

setting: after the Xmen Films... interesting..... after all the xmen have gone ...interesting
so get ready to be emo, it is in a world where all relations have been severed and lost, but a fragment of once found hope.
then insert a love story most likely

Director James Mangold is trying to not make it a corny fail prequel. so it's like set in the fast forward some future time ..ish... *shrugs*

...based on the celebrated Chris Claremont-Frank Miller comic series from 1980s and finds Wolverine caught in a gang war in Tokyo.

"This movie is called The Wolverine, we really wanted this movie, better than any before, to encapsulate that character. You’re going to see every side to him. There’s going to be some surprises in there too. You have to see him lower, more desperate, more at stake than ever before"

Ohla, seeking to impress? I'll be watching >: ]

Astonishing Xmen Motion Comic: Gifted

lewl the funniest stuff I've see in a while.

THE SCRIPT IS GOLD

+ Best voice acting I've encountered for a while.

limited animation brought back to life by Continuity Studios,
taking John Cassaday's artwork, cutting and pasting it, to a what seems like 2.5D platform haha.
in between 2D and 3D.

Writer - Joss Whedon, and may I dare say, sci fi, comic GENIUS!
To be honest, you would think, what is the point of making motion comics?
- comic book fans growing up in the 60s have nostalgia for going down to the comic shop with 50c to by the paper, flicking through the pages only to be constantly knocked back with cliff hanger endings <3
- new gen comic readers, have the whole digital ipad comic readers, or just on your PC.

so this in between platform, somewhat resembling paper cut outs and a radio play is ....peculiar
But for me, it actually worked.
By downplaying the animation, you concentrate much more on the script/plot, and you seriously realise the importance of sound effects drawing you into the comic world.

anyways. enough from me

every time i hear/see/read of a marvel show going anime format
i die a little inside.
serious.
WHY?!?!?!
it better just be because you want to make money marvel, because you are butchering
your product like crazy when you cross styles

Xmen anime to premier Oct 21.
(hmm..i thought they already did an anime version of it ages go. *shrugs*)

It is HORRIBLE
gah. what did they do to storm. *character sheets*
and plus i dunno, the voice acting coupled with the anime visual doesn't
seem right.. it's not effective and just sounds crap.
the deep, gritty, voice of wolverine is better matched to
or than

*peak at ep 1*

it's probably because Wolerine is Canadian and I grew up watching that particular style
and associated anime with characters that are "asian" even though they
aren't representative of them at all..
i mean which asian has naturally green, blue, purple, blone hair?
but gahh..it just doesn't work.
xmen gone anime fails in my books.
reading other reviews...im not the only person annoyed
about the way they choose to represent wolverine >.>

at least they got one thing right

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!??!!?

i've already blogged twice today..and i was like. yep more than this means im truly mental. but this one really needs to be posted.. (for no real reason to most of my readers lol)

copy paste Q&A from Steve Gorden's blog. (the most awesome artist ever, who designed every single character for Xmen Evolution. show stealer. fantastic work, he has.)

Why wasn't Dazler/Marrow/the White Queen/Polaris ever included?

"...I know that Marrow wasn't used because we accidentally created a new character (Spyke) that had the same basic powers as Marrow. Believe it or not, we truly had never heard of Marrow until after we had already went forward with the Spyke intro episode. Kind of surprises me , in retrospect, that Marvel never said anything."

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!?!??!!

captain america

Paramount Pictures

The Bottom Line

As the last Marvel prequel that includes two Iron Man and Incredible Hulk movies before next summer’s The Avengers, this one feels perhaps a little too simplistic and routine.

ouch

full review *click*

ZOMG im too LATE!! leaked footage. lol

'The Avengers': Footage Leaks Online (Spoilers)

It's not being called a trailer for the superhero pic....but it certainly looks and feels like one.

It's not being called a trailer for The Avengers....but it certainly looks and feels like one.

Bootlegged footage of next summer's big Marvel tentpole began popping up online Monday. The poorly-camcorded recording features Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) beating up a punching bag and then being approached by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). The two exchange some dialogue about saving the world, which leads into a series of shots featuring quick cuts of Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (as Hawkeye shooting a arrow! Followed by explosions!), Scarlett Johansson, a flying Iron Man, then heroes assembled in a conference room (yes that is Chris Hemsworth as Thor). Fury then says "Gentlemen, you're up," a logo for The Avengers appears, then another scene, and finally "May 2012."

Punctuated by a movie crowd going wild.

Sources tell us the footage will run after the credits of Captain America, which opens Friday. Marvel has practically patented these "buttons" that appear at the end of their movies as teasers for the next film. The recent series that began with Iron Man will culminate with The Avengers next summer.

This, however, was more than just one scene. Clearly it was a curtain-raiser for the movie itself.

(Heat Vision is not posting the video it but you can find it here.)

captain america new trailer

"Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
