The Box Hill Community Arts Centre is seeking
energetic, responsible, reliable CARTOONIST! for school holiday program
Toon Time is a program for primary school aged children and currently runs on a Monday afternoons. Toon Time Beginners runs from 4.00pm until 5.30pm followed by Toon Time Advanced from 5.45pm – 7.15pm. The Cartooning teacher is responsible for setting the program, which runs for approximately 8 weeks each school term. In the past, the class has explored both Eastern and Western styles of cartooning. Ideally, you will be a cartooning artist, a competent illustrator who can demonstrate different drawing styles and also possess the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to teach. Term 1 classes commence Monday 6 February 2012.
The class runs with a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 12 students. Experience delivering similar cartooning programs is desirable and experience working with children is essential.
You will require a Working with Children’s Check, a current First Aid qualification and are responsible for your own public liability insurance.
This is a contract position, with hours as required throughout the year, the majority being a Monday afternoon.
