Japanese Garden | Golden Gate Park | SF Day Trip
started the day at 9.30am scoffing down breakfast with tomas, as Anders, Santiago, Johannes and Mayura were staring at me from the front of the dinning hall. its 9.35am and i haven't left to meet them yet. ugh.. rush rush.
but we did manage to get to where we wanted before noon and the place was incredible. the view was lovely and the weather so kindly to match.
first stop was stumbling across Golden Gate Park and outside the Academy of Sciences. pitty we didn't join the IHouse trip that went there the very same day. aquarium, museum, indoor rainforest and planetarium so i have heard. next time next time.
hit Castro's the queer area of town. oh my goodness. some stores you do not want to walk into...yes tomas ..my eyes were bleeding.. ughhh.. whyyyy
but some stores you did want to walk into =]

the funny shaped vortex amongst Berkeley/San Francisco's signature ugly trees = De Young Musum. I totally want to visit that place. Best art exhibits in town apparently. Also first toilet stop of the day =P
California's Academy of Sciences!funny story of the day would have to be Mayura picking a flower off a tree (in a somewhat rather public area off to the side of the Golden Gate Park opposite some tennis courts)and placing it in her hair whilst a random guy in red pops along and tells her off.
"Did you know there is a $150 fine for taking flowers off the tree?
That's my tree!
I own the place, see my badge?"
LOL! i knew it was a joke deep inside.
but the fact he played it out for such a lengthy period of time really had Santiago and Mayura scared sh*tless.
