so yay! i cant believe i actually caught this..
yes i choose lion king over topless chicks because i really wanted to see lion king and was so sad i missed it in australia.
it's simple uncanny-ily perfecting spine-chilling excellence.
i have no idea how to describe it, as words just do not do it justice.
so impressed but the abstract customes that seemed to work without you having to be a theatre enthusiast.
incredible!!
just amazing!!
it played at Mandala Bay or something like that, after the show_
@ acmi_
so im overseas but im still in tune with acmi news.
upcoming fashion event sounds cool, but what i recommend is this: http://www.acmi.net.au/oz_weird_mob.aspx
it's a hilarious movie by Micheal Powell, shot in Australia dealing with what its like to enter a foriegn land, and exposes all the weird stuff Australians are like, the stuff that we Aussies embrace and have no idea why, such as a laid back attitude, crude slang etc etc.
"Very much a product of the assimilationist view dominating Australian immigration policy at the time, the film follows the humorous plight of Italian sports journalist Nino Culotta (Walter Chiari), who comes to Australia to work on an Italian-language magazine but discovers on arrival it has gone broke. Stuck in a foreign country with limited knowledge of its strange customs, he gets a job as a builder's labourer where he gets a fast lesson in local idioms and the Australian way of life."
