Arthur was truly ahead of its times. i was in high school and still watching this because the stories and happenings to the characters were incredibly relevant on the school grounds.

for those who don't get easily offended.

still one of the most complex tv show i have ever EVER seen. on more than a zillion levels, themes, animation (which itself is not treated well in academia and can sprout a zillion papers), satire, quality tv, representation of gender, institution, culture, sexuality, the serial, the melodrama, the sitcom, difference and stereotype, national identity,race, self reflexivity and gah so many more.. this show just dips its face in every single possible facet of life being an image on screen, its ridiculously offensively successful and ground breaking...
