Comic industry - Australia

I don' t know much about it, or if its really kicked off.
but i am a supporter

industry wise, in an off distant land i would dream of exercising my passion for the growth recognition of the comic book industry (and NO i do not mean manga =P) and the gaming industry, amongst academic and worthy circles lewl.

so here's an event, some pplz might want to visit.
pity im at a wedding that day =P

Location: Batman Park, corner St Georges and Arthurton Roads, Northcote.

...live music by Animaux and Squid Squad, fight choreography, comic making workshops, Kamishibai (Japanese ‘paper drama’) and the Allen & Unwin Comics Quiz Show.

The ComicSpot!
3pm. A live podcast. Come and be a part of a 3CR radio program about Australian comics and comics culture in Australia.

The Comic Parade
6pm. Dress up as your favourite comic book character (or make one up) and take part in a parade.

hahhaa.. i applaude their effort . i mean it's quite a lot and a step forward if Darebin city council, is willing to host such an event! progress <3
