ohla. food.
every blog must have posts about food right? haha.
Well here are the two places I've tried this week with friends
La Tortilleria at Kensington
which was literally in the middle of no where.
Dark 7pm at night and wondering can a Mexican restaurant possiblely be in this industrial street?
Just when you think you've got to turn back as you might get stabbed, you see the bright blue venue.
There was a set menu since there was 6 of us. Tacos, corn chips, salsa = best!
The atmosphere was what won me over compared to the taste of the food.
Cosy colourful interior, bustling with happy customers over fresh food.
Friendly services also. Yay for unlimited guacamole!!
Next stop Karmel Albert Park on a sunny Saturday afternoon
Was in a rush to catch the circus, so only 30mins to have brunch .
The wait staff were nice enough to inform the chef we were in a rush . and woah...10mins after ordering the food arrived. best service at a Western cafe/restaurant EVER!!
I might start telling all restaurants I need to leave early now hahha.
yet again I was hungry so ...i thought all the food was good
- sweet potato & sesame seed falafels with tahini honey
- moroccan chicken skewers on fattoush salad
- moroccan salad of warm cauliflower, red & white quinoa, pinenuts, chickpeas & feta
(and of course i never take photos :P)
first time ever i approve of feta cheese, melts&was awesome with the salad.
and by the time you've finished reading this you know i'm not a food critic, but i just eat.
:P
check out both places if you have the time
