film review: Twilight Last Instalment
okay so I am debating whether I should write on what I call a pathetic blurp of a movie 1, 2, 3,4
but the last part is decent.
yes. decent
=P
So lemme thought splat_
what i liked about the movie.
1. opening sequence...a very veryyyy interesting take. Reminiscent of the old school days when they actually put the credits at the start, highlight who are the stars in the film.
Interesting to me but it was cruel to the fans.
Cruel to the fans because it took about 5minutes just to flash all the names on the screen over sweeping backgrounds of lord-of-the-ring-type mountains in between flashes of white snow and blood red crossfades - to which i thought symbolized that blur between purity and death/fine space the Cullens in the film tread - or just transformation. I could see people squirming in their seats just waiting for the film to start. Lemme add - the score is brilliant. I've always like the music (but not much else)
2. climax
lol i'm impressed. this film had me fooled. Almost as bad as the I-woke-up-and-it-was-all-a-dream-i-feel-cheated-factor, but not quite. no spoilers. go watch it yourself, the whole cinema laughed. quite clever.
3. closing sequence
Gave credit to the Twilight Saga - stress saga - as they gave each individual pretty much 3 seconds of screen time with their names/character names titled at the bottom. I liked that. A bit old school.
on the side_
Their acting improved-sih. Although Kristen Stewart really needs to work on her constipated face - unless it was what the character in the book was like *shrugs*
It was less corny then the rest of the films.
Though in hindsight, they did a good first job of making the first few movies so crap it gave no expectation for the last. so i guess in comparison to itself, the last part did pretty well. But surely the fans would rage at me for saying so.
Overall_
★★★
go and find out yourself. the cinema clapped. okay, sooo...in comparison to applause loudness one tenth of the intensity of the Avengers applause and 0.1% in duration =P
It currently sits at 79% on rotten tomatoes,
yer. im equally surprised. then again it is opening weekend =P
but the last part is decent.
