in short no.
... the amount of effort one goes, just for 24hours for a lover or special other, is stupid.
do you really think you can get away with being overly "nice" for 24 hours and make up for all the other times you screwed up?
and if you were fine to begin with, there is no mandate that you must do something extra on this day. don't build unnessary expectations in someone's mind. you will be accountable when you fail =P
curiously. i bet all girls have it on their minds.
lady came by office with a massive delivery of flowers and a bear.
other two workmates instantly assumed it was for them
outcome - the lady was lost, it was for someone else.

david i completely disagree with you. i can be a horrible girlfriend but i will not accept 'not doing anything on valentines day' a criteria so you can tick that box =P

back track. reason. i went swimming in the morning. =.="
the saddest part - had to get mum to drop them off at the office.. niuuuu.. so much for being "responsible" fail face.

Both Valentines day and wedding rings are a concoction of capitalism and people only participate due to social "standards".
oh. rings/marriage seems like a different ball game.

rings or no rings. its a commitment to another and really, only the other needs to be confident/convinced. society can think whatevers lol.
