Disney's first animated movie SnowWhite appeared in 1937! Incredible feat! Colour, music sync, the lot! they nailed it, and academy away won obviously

1) but now Disney has a project to bring it back onto screens in 2013 as Snow White and the Seven, as a Chinese martial art adventure ! Say what?!?!the dwarves are actually Shaoin monks?
Michael Arndt ('Toy Story 3') is doing the screenplay.
Setting: China in the 1800s with seven expert warriors taking the place of the dwarves.

2) in other realms of Hollywood Universal is making 'Snow White and the Huntsman' 2012.
casting Kirsten Stewart as Snow white. yer, the twilight girl if you didn't know. Her actually better have improved since those movies.
Director - Rupert Sanders
Plot - relationship between Snow White and the man dispatched by the evil queen to kill her. The huntsman becomes Snow White's protector, and the duo go on the run from the nasty monarch. Charlize Theron is in talks to play the queen.


3) and finally director Tarsem Singh and Relativity Media production is going to bring home the more darker Brothers Grimm: Snow White in 2012. casting Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen.

There seems to be more comic book movies and fairy tale movies with a darker side rolling out onto screens these days....
