MU Student Union Ltd has an exciting fixed-term opportunity (Maternity Leave Replacement) for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our award winning Communications and Marketing Unit. As Graphic Designer you would be welcomed as part of our integral Communications and Marketing Department which communicates through a variety of platforms to the student body.

We require an experienced Graphic Designer with advanced skills in both web and print design. As a youth audience are our key stakeholders your folio should demonstrate a contemporary, urban aesthetic. Ideally you will have examples of your web-based work still active and available for us to look at in support of your application. Experience with CSS and Content Management Systems will be highly regarded.

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager you will have direct client liaison and account management responsibilities as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills. Attention to detail and time management skills are a must.

We can offer you a role where you will manage a variety of portfolios and be presented with plenty of interesting design opportunities. Our relaxed working environment will require that deadlines are met, but is unlike the 9-to-5 grind of other workplaces — we value life work balance and a sense of perspective.
