So ya already know I’ve been on a biking tour around the city and it was amazing. The free day was time spent with mum’s friend and her family. Her husband is truly a mr. fix. It. Can weld/make almost anything, including his own airplane. So I went for a ride around the Chicago suburbs at the local airport where he stores his aircraft. Siiiickkk…..

Then went up Sears Tower, the tallest in the city. Went up to level 103 for the viewing deck. It’s just like Eureka building with the whole glass window box protruding out of the building (expect they are permanently stuck, there are four and its free =P) Took photos but sadly I was up there on a day of a thunder storm Y_Y” I didn’t get wet, as the rain stopped as we exited the building, but not good views into the other states! *sigh *

Met up with the gang to watch a baseball game, to which the team we were supporting “White Sox” lost terribly to the “Tigers” *hangs head in shame* as we pile into a SUPER PACKED subway train back to the hostel. One extremely squishy ride. 31,000 people attended the game approximately. Beers were $7.95 each, hot dogs $3.45, water/soda $4.50, so you can imagine the profit they made!!! I got tired of watching after the fifth inning lewl.

Hostel International is really awesome. They have programs and events and walking tours organized and you just have to sign up and rock up. You are staying with other travellers so you can share information and experiences. Their included breakfast is amazing, muffins, croissants, cereal, toast etc etc and orange juice…..gah I crave a good glass of orang juice. Goina get it when I come back to Australia. =P

so yesterday was an epic friends catch up. ahh glen waverley... i wonder when would be the day we all move away from that area. hmm...

food, drinks,loitering around in public places, tangled, taking up three rows of a cinema, 50+ friends in one spot, crashing alvin's party, polaroid snapshots

= priceless

lol if it reminded me of lunchtimes =P

but since i'm sitting on my lazy ass i might as well summarise the end of 2010 and start of 2011


no lets see..where exactly was it at NEW YEARS! 12.00AM

hmm.. i was either running out from the toilet and onto the street to catch the fireworks seen from a park in Hawthorn East.... or according to the time on my mobile phone it was 11.59PM when i reached the park and the fireworks started early >.>

hmm. either way. it as a good view from the park outside james' house. standing right....here.could see both the city and st. kilda fireworks.. or whatever the other suburb was at the other end of my field of view.

1 hour earlier...
watched a bunch of friends from church play one crazy game of monopoly...insane over the table deals, alliances, huge losses, screaming and shouting..

played 'psychiatrist' for the first time. strange game, where everyone sits in a circle and agrees on an "illness", then bring in one or two people that didn't hear this agreed upon illness to sit in the middle of the circle and ask questions until they get it. quite hard.
our illness was "two people to our left". We were only allowed to answer yes /no questions..but answering them truthfully for two people to our left. hilarious.

2 hours earlier...
watching gossip girl. dang..that show is despicably attention seeking..
sister started watching it and i walk past every now and then..

5 hours earlier..
"you are not allowed to go out of the house, its too hot" - mum
i uber dislike it when she does this. GRR.. so i wasn't going to take no as an answer.


fast fwd to say 1AM...
find myself at JeeWee's house playing Gin with JeeMeng's friends whilst i wait for the glenny crew to return from their trip from maccas ...
