Call for Applications : New Visions/New Voices 2012
The Theatre Board of the Australia Council and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts are offering an opportunity for selected Australian artists to participate in New Visions / New Voices, an intensive week long script development workshop, culminating in a weekend festival of showings for industry professionals. New Visions / New Voices will be presented by the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC from 14 to 20 May 2012.

Freeplay is Australia's longest running independent games festival, and focuses on the creative and artistic side of games, digital art, education, and culture. Freeplay is calling for submissions for the Freeplay Awards 2011. The awards celebrate the best in Australian independent, artistic, and creative games development. For submission guidelines see the Freeplay website.
Submissions are due by 25 August, 2011.
The Freeplay Independent Games Festival takes place at the State Library of Victoria on 20 and 21 August, 2011.
Call for Applications: Media Lab Melbourne
Media Lab Melbourne is a new initiative that promotes collaboration between artists, designers, scientists, technologists, couturiers, performers, players, crafters and creatives!
They are now calling for projects that reflect on the relationships between the body and technology. Projects will be realised during a sprint from 13 to 21 August. Sprints are periods of intensive creative development with technical assistance, production support and an accelerated creation process. For more information visit the Media Lab Melbourne website.

Prospect 360 are offering students a work experience placement ...the chance to
work with the best in the business at NOVA 100. The opportunity exists for w/c Monday July 18
w/c Monday July 25, w/c Monday August 01, 2011. The opportunity will only be approved where it is
a work experience or internship course requirement of secondary schools and tertiary institutions.
Successful applicants will report into Sacha French, Executive Producer for "Hughesy and
Kate"; she will oversee your daily tasks.
You'll be committed to arriving on time, focusing on the task at hand, keeping out of the way
and collating the details of every caller. This is unpaid work experience, however the opportunity
will allow you to get your "foot-in-the-door", with potential casual, part-time or full time
employment on offer.
